The instruments used in this research were vocabulary test (pre-test and post-test). The sample of VIII-I class of MTs Negeri Bandung which consist of 46 students. The population of this study was all students of eight grade students of MTs Negeri Bandung. In this study the research design used by the researcher is pre-experimental design in the form of one-group pre-test and post-test. This research is experimental design with quantitative approach. 3) to know whether there is significant difference in students’ achievement vocabulary mastery before being taught using “Word Wall” media. 2) to know the students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery after being taught using “Word Wall” media. The objectives of the research were: 1) to know the students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery before being taught using “Word Wall” media. The formulation of the research problems were: 1) How is the students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery before being taught using “Word Wall” media? 2) How is the students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery after being taught using “Word Wall” media? 3) Is there any significant difference in students’ achievement vocabulary mastery before and after being taught using “Word Wall” media? The word wall is designed to be a interactive tool for students or others to use, and contains an array of words that can be used to effectiveness the students vocabulary mastery. Word wall is collection of words which are displayed in large visible letters on a wall, bulletin board, or blackboard in a classroom. One of the media used in teaching vocabulary is word wall media. By learning vocabulary, learners will be able to communicate in English. They felt bored and are not interested in following English class, because teacher teaches vocabulary by repeating the word and uses the same strategy in every meeting. As foreign language, it has many problems faced by Indonesian students, especially learning vocabulary.
